This guide explains how to connect and configure Stripe as a payment method in your Fathershops store.
Log in to your FatherShops Dashboard
Go to Apps -> Payments
Find Stripe & click Settings
General Settings
In the General section, configure the following options:
- Status: Enable this option to activate Stripe payments on your store.
- Order Status (Created)- Status applied when an order is created.
- Order Status (Paid))- Status applied when payment is successfully completed.
- Order Status (Failed))- Status applied when payment fails.
- Order Status (Refunded)- Status applied when a payment is refunded.
Minimum Total- Stripe will be disabled if the cart value is below this amount.Sort Order- Controls the position of Stripe in the payment methods list at checkout.(Optional – can be left blank.)
Allow Customers to Use Stored Cards - Enable or disable saved cards for returning customers.
Credit Card Template- Choose how card details appear on the checkout page:
Template 1: Card fields displayed in one line
Template 2: Card fields displayed in two lines
Switch to the Stripe Settings tab and enter your API keys.
- Public Key (Test)- Enter the stripe public key for test environment
- Secret Key (Test) - Enter the stripe secret key for test environment
- Public Key (Live) - Enter the stripe public key for test environment
- Secret Key (Live)- Enter the stripe secret key for test environment
- Transaction Mode - Select Test for testing payments or Live for real transactions.
- Charge Mode- Choose how charges should be processed (as per your business requirement).
- Custom Transaction description-Enter custom text that will appear in the Stripe Dashboard for each transaction.
- After completing all fields, click Save to apply the changes.
